Congratulations to Maria Avila, the 2026 Creative Residency Mentee
On Saturday, July 25th, friends and guests gathered in the Zagar studio at The Dance Centre to watch Maria Avila perform her creative idea, which she developed during this year's 7-day Creative Residency under the mentorship of Irene Morales.
The studio showing was followed by a Q&A session in which Maria and Irene outlined their creative process, sources of inspiration, and how to embody flamenco when developing an idea or expressing an emotion.
